Raquel Shutt is the founder and creator of and the Wedding Savvy Summit, an educational conference that gives wedding consumers a comprehensive understanding of the market.  Raquel has been planning weddings since 2001 and is the principal of Wedding Savvy Wedding & Event Consulting, an award winning national wedding consulting company.

Raquel is a proud Cuban American who graduated from Frostburg State University and went on to earn her MBA from Loyola University of Maryland.  She created Wedding Savvy Wedding & Event Consulting after serving as an event coordinator at a local hotel and saw a need for a savvier, more client focused business.  Raquel resides in Annapolis with her husband and their three sons and travels often to her Charlotte office in North Carolina.

Raquel has had MANY memorable wedding moments, but the most unique is when she coordinated the Towson State Marching Band “marching” in right as the bride and groom said, “I do!”
