Jerry is well known for his monthly wine dinners that have grown to over 100 attendees. Each dinner is a five or six course culinary experience that is specially prepared to pair perfectly with the wines that have been chosen for the evening.
Besides having built one of the most successful Catering companies in his region, Jerry has traveled the world, training and assisting Caterers, Chefs and Event Planners to animate their guest’s culinary experience.
During that time his company has won two separate National Catering Company of the Year Awards. He has personally won over 50 industry awards and he holds an honorary doctorate in hospitality, but is most proud of his NACE Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jerry has been a contributing writer for several national magazines including Catersource, “Special Events” and Catering. He is currently working on two books, one for the industry titled “A Chef’s Perspective” and one for the culinary public titled “Seasons of the Grape” a book on seasonal cooking and wine pairing in wine growing regions around the globe.
He is very active in many charities for children’s issues, social causes and adult diseases. Jerry is the current spokesperson for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Each year he spearheads a Chef’s Dinner which has raised over $100,000 for the charity. In 2011, Chef’s Expressions was honored with the Business Philanthropy Award from the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
Since his career in catering consulting and administration has taken off he finds peace and solitude in his farm-style kitchen where he creates wine dinners for both family and friends.
